The photo of Elliott Erwitt attracts a woman and her dog on Gushan Island, West Lake, where the 10th Hangzhou Citizens Photography Festival opened yesterday with an outdoor display of over 3,000 pictures taken by amateur photographers in the city and 200 masterpieces by world-famous photographers, including Eugene Atget, Robert Doisneau, Walker Evans, Robert Capa, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Marc Riboud, Martin Parr and James Nachtwey. The show will continue through May 21.
