Taxi, bus stations make way for airport projects

The taxi station at Xiaoshan International Airport has been moved to make way for Terminal 1 renovation and the construction of a subway station for Metro Line 1 and Line 7.

The taxi station was moved to west to Gate 10 of T1 building and Gate 8 will be shut off. People at the domestic arrivals area can exit from Gate 10, 11 and 12 and those at the international arrives area can exit from Gate 4 to go to the taxi station.

The airport bus station will be moved from T3 to T1 next month and the number of parking spaces at T1 will be cut by 1,000 to two thirds of the total.

A new parking lot will be established on a lawn by Xiangfei Road, south of the terminal, enough to hold 410 cars.

The construction of the Metro station for Line 1 and Line 7 and the T4 building will be launched later this year.
